About the Artist

From an early age it was Hannah's ambition to be an artist. As a child she won numerous art competitions including Artist of the Year Award. She went on to study Fine Art at university in Southampton England and graduated with Hons.
Her chosen speciality is portraiture, both people and animals. She paints detailed pictures on commission working from photographs and from life using coloured pastel and toned pastel in a variety of sizes.

Through observing people and animals from life and the careful study of anatomy she passionately attempts to capture not only the intricate detail and physical likeness of her subject but also the personality of each individual in a unique pastel painting.
She has held exhibitions and trade stands both locally and nationally. Her work has been shown Edinburgh and London. Her paintings have been shown on BBC television. She has regular following by the local press.

She has painted portraits as prizes for national competitions including several top magazines. She receives commissions internationally and has produced quantity orders for large businesses. Several celebrities have commended her achievements and have expressed interest in her work.
Clients have always been delighted and have often returned for further paintings.
